Bloom
Sam is a musician, researcher and programmer who is a lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney as well as one of the Co-Directors of CCS. His research focus is to understand the relationship between, and the effects of, sound and music on human beings.
Sam worked alongside Linda Candy to edit the book Interactive Experience in the Digital Age, which has many chapters contributed by CCS researchers.
The major collaborative light installation Bloom, involved Sam working with international art collective Squidsoup to programme 1,700 swaying ‘flowers’ in a spatial audiovisual symphony. The interactive work appeared in London over Christmas at Kew Gardens.
