Ubiquitous Augmented Reality
In addition to his sculptural practice, Kynan has a background in lean agile product development, and coaching. He enjoys working with cross-functional teams of technologists and designers, and helping organisations work effectively in complex domains.
Kynan’s PhD research at CCS combines location-aware art practice with complexity theory to explore the potential of ubiquitous augmented reality in an increasingly interconnected mixed-reality world.
In the Algorithms series, historically significant sorting algorithms are re-contextualised as meditative programatic animations. They playfully explore concepts of computational complexity by aiming for beauty over efficiency.
