Cinematography & Texture
Nicholas Price is an award winning cinematographer & filmmaker. Nick has made feature films, web series, commercials and documentaries. He is a Masters graduate of AFTRS and is always striving to bring a highly stylised cinematic look to any project he works on. His credits include the neo-noir web series After Nightfall, commercials for Hyundai, Mercedes and Barnardos. He recently shot the award winning short film Wax Rat and feature film Fragmentary.
Nick’s PhD research explores how cinematographers use analogue and digital technology to create unique textures in filmmaking. These textures can be used to affect the visual narrative, mood and aesthetic of a film, creating better experiences for the audience. Nick combines vintage analogue lenses, with digital camera sensors and the emerging technology of virtual production to create these unique textures.
