Juliet Robson, Nottingham, England

Juliet Robson is an artist who uses installation, live art, film and video to explore and deconstruct the idea of the ‘norm’, how the boundaries of what is perceived as the norm are fluid within varying contexts. She is also questioning her own assumptions often through dialogue with her audiences. Recently, she has been commissioned to create a permanent public artwork for the Arboretum, Nottingham, for the Year of the Artist. Robson has worked as a disability consultant for arts venues, organizations and events since 1996. She is an advisor to East Midlands Regional Arts Board having previously been a director. She is co-curator of VITAL SIGNS, a season of contemporary art in major venues across Nottingham profiling new commissions by international artists. Recent conferences include: Access Denied, Saddler Wells, London and Wired and Dangerous at The Richard Attenborough Centre, Leicester. Both were part of the Eastern Touring Agencies series of Get Wired conferences. She also par-ticipated in the Womenıs International ICT Conference, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Robson graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a contemporary arts degree in 1994.
