Greg Turner is a computer scientist and interaction designer specialising in creative applications. His PhD from CCS in 2006 was concerned with the development of new programming environments to support the creation of interactive art. In 2009 with Alastair Weakley and Julien Phalip he established the Interaction Consortium web development company in Sydney.

Greg graduated in 2002 with a first class Undergraduate Master's Degree with Honours (four years, plus one year professional placement) in Computer Science from Loughborough University, UK. He became involved with the Creativity and Cognition Studios in 2000, working with Dave Everitt on the interactive art system cubeLife (pictured) and a report on disability and technology for Arts Council England.

Greg has combined his interests in music, new technology and creativity support as the manager of a recording studio, as chair and technical manager of the university musicians' society and principal organiser for Free-Fest, an annual open-air music festival.

He has worked freelance on projects ranging from a screensaver for the UN to a system for documenting the conservation of an historic iron ship. He was briefly employed to work on the "cognitive cockpit" flight simulator for MoD research. Sorry about that.
