Somet 05 Conference
October 10th, 2005I returned last Friday from Tokyo where Somet 05, 4th International Workshop on Software Methodologies, Tools and techniques was held. The Conference was over a three day period and Ernest, Greg and myself presented on the final day. It was a stimulating three days accelerating my research ideas quite markedly. It was a conference which hosted a variety of researchers, my work focusing on the perspectives of performing arts in gestural HCI. The CCS presentation was well balanced, Ernest presenting the philosophy and historical foundations of art and technology practice whilst Greg discussed the roles and relationships that programmers develop in attempting to fulfil collaborative artistic goals.
