Finding life with cancer really hard especially at this distance. The text message has its virtues as does the telephone but it is not enough. I have had a delayed reaction to the visit to the doctors on Thursday. The full impact of it hit me- again!! Just the same as after the first news-after the operation.

I am back in the sun and looking over the quiet of Shell Cove while trying to stay awake until a decent time to go to bed. How time drags when you want to go to sleep but cannot.

Just spoke to Emma after chemo 3 - she is getting more help and is asking for it in the right directions. She needs to talk to her oncologist and get him to communicate better. He would not make predictions and felt the individual case would buck the statistics. If they can get on one another’s wave-length that will be a bonus but he will not offer her everything she needs. Anyway she sounds more perked up than on the weekend and will have a blood transfusion on Wednesday to add to the steroid effect!
